The voters of Oklahoma’s first Congressional district wisely decided to send conservative Jim Bridenstine to Congress last fall. Bridenstine is a patriot and a veteran. More importantly, he is man of solid character who understands not only our founding principles, but also the current political climate in Washington, D.C. and the great dangers posed to our republic by Barack Hussein Obama and his crew of Constitution-hating radicals.
In an interview with the Tulsa World, Bridenstine said he suspects House Speaker John Boehner and other GOP leaders are likely to cave to Obama’s penchant for even greater tax increases, as Democrats are demanding:
My concern, and, I think the concern of a lot of Republicans in Congress, is that once the sequester takes effect, people are going to be screaming for a deal, and that deal ultimately is going to be what the President wants, to raise taxes. And if there’s enough pressure, Boehner will bring it to the floor, and 200 Democrats and 30 or 40 Republicans will vote for it, and once again, you’re going to have the Speaker caucusing with the Democrats.

Is this a man from whom we conservatives might expect great things?
